I have an opportunity to do psych externship starting next week, problem is the area, high crime rate, really unsafe 1.5 hr oneway commute by train, staying away from family and child, cost and living expense.
I already have a few months of US working experience with two pvt doctors as asst/extern. This upcoming externship wont give me a LOR but still a real hospital experience. Its really hard for me to decide one way or another. Can anyone help me. Will i be okay if i wont do this externship??

that's a tough decision...I don't think anyone else can make it for you. You best know the pros and contras...good luck!
