I am a third year IMG resident in a texas program. I have heard some of my faculty discuss this and thought of passing it along. It may be of help to some of you who are looking at family medicine residencies in US.
The Society of Teachers of Family Meidicne or STFM which is the one of the leaders of Family medicine organisations have started STFM family resident preparation academy. There are two academies. One for IMG's who have not matched into a program yet and one IMG's who have already matched. This is strictly for IMG's interested in family medicine and STFM has criterias as to who can qualify for these. You can check their website out at

anyone knows which hospital offers Internal Medicine observership without the need of step 2 score in sep or otc ,2007?
