1. If the frequency of two alleles in a gene pool is 90% A and 10% a, what is the frequency of individuals in the population with the genotype Aa?

a.0.81

b.0.09

c.0.18

d.0.01

90*10/1000=.09
muliplying the non dependent probabilities

(2*0.9*0.1) = 0.18

Yep you can have Aa and aA

So for carrier: Aa + aA = 2 * 0.9 * 0.1 = 0.18

AA = 0.9^2 = 0.81

aa = 0.1^2 = 0.01

In total: 0.81 + 0.18 + 0.01 = 1
