Hey Ron welcome back 
Just be happy then all will went well as schedule plan , with stress u can sit there with books but nothing happen , so , do balance life , study mainly with life as spice or sweet adds in

It is a very busy wk for me fr tmr since , so may not b back here soon .
Last few mo were so busy & still , hope next yr will b better , so can come here to support u more often , PHL

thank you, allllll of you kind people. it feels wonderful to read a new supportive post here when i log on. [why don't we have a heart-shaped smilie yet?? love makes the world go round, right???!]
last night, i spent a few mins looking up the exam scores thread, where people have listed their qbank, uw and nbme scores, and their ultimate step one score. i think i may have had an out-of-body experience , coz i'm nowhere near where i should be , if i am to earn the score that i want, that i've been aiming at. i have a longer way to go than i thought. and i still have the Big Daddy, UW still to be done. i don't know where to fine-tune my prep, and where to squeeze in more time. i'm facing a wall.
i'm so confused right now, that the food i'm cooking tastes wierd.........confused food........
any suggestions please??

Exam score thread is deadly thing. You see it and lose your few hours thinking you're nowhere. I used to feel the same and I still feel the same. But after that feeling is over, you are left with immense subconscious motivation. the motivation to repeat the successes that you saw in the thread and that's the best part of score thread.

Hello Paheli, glad to hear your mom is doing good, wish her all the best during her recovery !
As for your scores, no purpose of comparing of yourself with peers,only one good point is coming out of it, the will to succeed, think about it this way, if they could do it , why not me ? All you need is patience, as someone clever said '' Genius is nothing but a great aptitude for patience '' . I'm sure you are almost there, just need to push a little bit, be persistent and you will be awarded with your dream score !

hi
how are you?read about your mom's surgery,how's she doing?
and don't get disheartened to see the score correlations... what you really should use those questions you solve is to learn whatever you can and most of all to get so accustomed to the question formats that they don't seem scary on the real exam....

i can't believe that i was about to abandon this journal, and it's proving to be such a source of inspiration and support to me, in this crunch time.
last night, i took 5 mins off to go over some old notes of mine on this journal. well, i got to them eventually, and read some, but first i ended up reading the posts of the old times. when this place was buzzing with the the old-timers, who are now orbiting higher levels. the journal was so full of energy and positivity........i need to get back some of that enthusiasm and upbeat attitude. remember, kg, GG, ac, shwe, we're still here [you guys will remember]........mt, medoc, edie have moved on up. now there are some great newer members around, but somewhere, my outlook's gotten a little gloomier, coz my days to the exam are numbered. i now will be more optimistic about this journey, even when the day is tough, ESPECIALLY when the day is tough.
thanks, EVERYONE, for your encouragement. i really needed it. hopefully, i will get back to books full-time. till then, i will make what progress i can.

Hey kiddo, me mizzzz ya too. Came by to see if mom was doing fine, looks like she is! Great job, Dr. P. Get ur mom to start ambulationg soon. Keep moving her feet till she's lying down. She's gonna be better, how nice, huh then u can get down to ur tests n make her do ur SEVAAA... Lucky u! Yup we moved on but we keep coming. Lemme wrap this thing up on 26th then all i have is time. I won't be waiting for any scores, just be behind ur sorry BEHINDS!

I am soooo glad to know that the surgery went off well, and your mom is recovering. You know Paheli, its when we slow down a bit with our prep when the obstacles seem to be much larger than they are, cos we are ZOOMING IN ON THEM! Just ZOOM OUT a bit and they will become what they really are....a pebble on the path....
You have a solid foundation now, it is a matter of shaking up the ol' wiring with the Big Daddy, send some high voltage thro that circuit and BAMM you will be good to go!

hun ! I cant find words to describe my shame about my being this unfaithful in your hard days I never meant to ignore any of my forum friends and I know how hectic life here was for me its no excuse ...

dont be gloomy anymore dear and just go on....u will surely do great !! as for me..i do come to the forum everyday....to see posts in ck and splly in match forum...saw some of ur posts too....i never had been there before....was cheking on the posts in the credentials thread.... ......loooong way to go....waitin for the results now.....and in need of everything ..visa..lor..usce.pubs..research exp...work exp(though i worked in 2 private hosp for few mnths..left them without taking certificate!! :mad......OMG.. where to start from !!.
have to start asking the seniors around.
