oh my, thanks so very much, my friends. shwe, mytime, mydream and bioguy! you're all really the best! you have no idea how much this support means to me.
Mom was supposed to go for the routine pre-op blood tests this morning, and get admitted later on in the day. her surg was scheduled for tomorrow. last night, we got a phone call that the surgeon is unwell, hence it's been postponed. he was away at a conferance over the weekend, so i'm almost sure that his trip has turned out longer than planned. i wish i could just pick a more regular doc from a large hosp, and get this done with. hot-shot docs are difficult to handle, sitting in their stuffy conferance rooms!
we were so mentally preparing ourselves for this, now this is anti-climactic, and we gotta start stressing out all over again, in a few days more. i'm so ticked off right now!!

i paheli,i read ur journal today,sorry,was lil bit busy.yes Be strong dear,i know its hard time,besides its our part of profession,its tough to see surgery on our own famliy but it will pass soon remember'whatever happens happens for good'iss late mein bhi bhalai hai(god handles everything,u know),u get more time to be strong and pray and comfort family.best wishes for safe surgery.Huuggssss!!!!

I think we are in the same situation.
My Mom is going to have heart surgery ten days before my exam.
She has a kind of shunt between coronary a. and bronchial a.
I know how you feel
Anyway, I will pray for you and your Mom

thank you SO much, guys. Scareless Johan, p4a99, acintya, milee!! i can't tell you how much your support is helping me.
the surgery is now scheduled for saturday. i am getting a rehearsal feeling for step 1, i.e. you never want the day to come, and you can't wait to get it done with. but, time keeps marching on, and it's for the best.
and, ac, what you said is so true, he's a hotshot for a reason. and after all, i, and everyone else here, hopes and strives to be one of them, one day.
i must now proceed to make the most of the rest of the week. have a good day, all.

Hello,
I just learned about your mom's condition. I wish her strength, safe surgery,and very speedy recovery, I know it must be hard , but you will see with positive attitude we can overcome all the pain in the world. Now is time to put a smile on her face, to comfort her, and be there for her and the whole family.... soon she will be comforting you, when you will be all shaking just before the exam !

in simple words okay,had 8 line scenario,young kid with h/o URTI few days-weeks ago,have puffy face,protein in urine 3.7g/24hr urine but he is normotensive,pitting edema albumin-2.4g/dl and LDL is 290mg/dl on renal biopsy what u will expect.no options just answer it.

friends, it's not happened yet. am still in limbo, not to mention my Mom. i will hold on to your wishes till when it does, will definitely need them. but, till then, i have to simply wait.
