myxomatous deg LA dilation.. caused by MS...old EC... ring abscess...quite an often complication of untreated EC CNS event...vegetations are fraible... Glomerulonephritis... antigen antibody production..reaction... present as hematuria/albuminuria/renal failure ... bla bla myxomatous deg... one of the most common causes of MVP in women in US....associated with mutations in fibrilling gene 1 that encodes for fibrillin that surrounds elastin and is required for elastic fibers....marfan syndrome... scoliosis, straight back, high arched palate....may be asscoiated... characteristic anatomic change is intercordal ballooning of mitral leaflets... EC features... Osler nodes...painful nodules in pulp of digits janeway lesions...nontender hemorrhagic lesionso on palms or soles... NOT NECESSARILY PULP although all of these are uncommon now due to good treatment modalities
