Hi, I'm taking the step 2 ck on august 15th. I have already completed step 1 and step 2 cs. I really want to to apply for an h1b visa.
However i have no idea what i need to do in order to apply for the step 3.
I read most of the www.fsmb site and i'm still a bit conf used. They stated the deadline for application was september the 5th.
Do I need to have my results for my step 2 ck in before i apply. I really want to get my step 3 done to have any chance of getting my h-1 b visa. Can anyone help please :-(

You need to pass step 2 ck and get ECFMG Certificate, which you will automatically recieve by mail in about 2 weeks after the report date of the ck result...., also your credentials have to be verified by ECFMG in order to recieve certificate
Then check which states don´t require post graduate training, like Tx...

So that means I'll be ecfmg certified by october for the earliest. Can i then apply for the step 3? I saw somewhere on the fsmb site that the closing date for 2007 step 3 dates in in september 4th. Does that mean that i have to wait until 2008 to get a date to write my exam?

Yes I think around early october..., yes u can then apply for s3..., don´t know about the last qs, sorry
