Hi njcjzy Are you doing Kaplan Qbank? Are you almost done or just started? I started doing it from yesterday and started with psych, i am doing subjectwise and timed. I am not happy with my scores but then i am using it as a learning tool alongwith reading from kaplan notes. Which subject are you doing right now?

Match08, I went through it very quickly last month without reading explanations for most of them. Now it is just the beginning of the review. I am in psych too. Tomorrow will be endo. We can report our progress to each other and keep us on track.

Not yet. Yesterday was a bad day. Just started endo for 25Qs. Told myself not to find more excuses. Today will be Hema and skin. Will get back to endo later. Thanks, match08, for checking on me. I need this.

Be honest, I am jealous of you who can prepare the test full- time. You are doing very well to stick to the study plan. A couple of weeks later, it will be my turn to present the project process on the lab meeting. So much pressure! Just being back from shopping, I am going to cook for the next week after submitting the post. (Routinely Cook once one week in order to save time for studying), Then, to do the laundry and clean the house. Busy Saturday! Wish I can use the limited free time I have on the exam preparation effectively and wisely. GL everyone

How was/is your weekend? Did you complete hemat and skin? are you doing just questions from kap QB like me or also reading at the same time? I completed my FA step 2 Ck cases for OB/GYN and finished the kap QB questions. Have to go through about 150 explanations today. Hope to finish doing that otherwise it will pile up and i won't have time to go through them again. Catch you tomorrow. Study.....

Thanks, friends, for coming by and for your concern and encouragement. I still stick to Kaplan Qbank. I really love to learn by questions. Each day I plan for 150Qs, but most time just finish 100. I just move on and stick to my plan and will touch those unfinished later. Today it is pulmonary. Already finish 50 Qs. Will read FA for a few hours and come back to Qs in the evening. One thing I would add to my plan. I purchased Kaplan notes from ebay a few days ago since so many people recommended that. I will read them like novels for 10 or 15 days after I finish Kaplan Qbanks.

I think Kaplan notes are very helpful but they are not like novels, some chapters are heavy like cardiology but probably after kaplan q bank they are more easy to read and will remind you concepts. Good luck with your studies and thanks for visiting my journal. See you around.

I know they are not like novels, but I really don't have time to go through them thoroughly. I want to hold onto one big book instead of so many. Let's see whether it will work. If not, I guess I will go back to my old plan. Thanks, Ivonne.

bhanusupriya, I guess downloaded 2005Q should be fine as long as you can review them and make all the important points out. I always think the key is to understand, repeat, review until you can claim you master most of the knowledge. drinturi, I know FA is not popular for step 2. But I personally love this book since it has most of the concepts for Kaplan Qs. I just keep taking notes from Qs to my FA for the things it lacks. I really love to read just one big book. docfor99, did you try to do Qs for nine hours in a day? Try that one time just like you are taking the real exam and figure out what you need to improve, physically and mentally. Hang in there, you will succeed. GL.

Now finish one block of Qs. Will read digestive disease from FA. Then two more(hopefully) blocks of Qs in the evening. Yesterday only did one more in the evening. Will try my best to concentrate today.

hi, njcjzy, "think, repeat and review until u can claim that knowledge is sticked to u" that's a wonderful phrase .i should learn from it since i always get bored reading the same thing for second time thinking that i've already learnt it,but only minute part of it will really get sticked to my mind.and i should leave that bad habit. i appreciate that, thank you very much njcjzy.

Thanks to an unknown friend, now I want to go back to my old plan. Kaplan Qbank, UW Qbank, and FA would be my only resources for step 2. I won't trouble myself reading all those review books, kaplan notes or blueprints (even though it took me such an effort trying to get Kaplan notes ). It really make me headache even to think about reading all those in such a short peroid of time. I know what I want, and I know what works for me.

How much of QB do you have left and how many more days? I only completed 25% and have 17 more days to go so kind of in a rush to finish once. catch u later then. study well
