Hey aiysha ! I have done a great observership in Youngstown OH which pretty close to Columbus , at Northside Hospital Forum Health in the Internal Medicine Dept . All I did was send a CV + cover letter to the program director - Dr Politis in which I said that I was very interested in their residency program but I would like to see the hospital for myself first . They said I could stay for as long as I want , but because I was an IMG I could only afford to live there for a month . They're very nice people . I hope this helps .

Hi , can any one post the link for the Ohio observership.
Is that in hospital for Int med or which fields ?

Thanks .

  #8

Yes , it was Internal Med . And the email is the one from Freida at the Western Reserve Care . You might try the other person of contact , Ms Goodin . I don't know what to tell you , that's the email I used too .

Maybe you should phone Ms Goodin and ask how to proceed if you want an observership

I guess Dr Politis must be very nice to IMG and committed to teaching - my respects!
