In UW, they say that the main stay for ttt of reactive arthritis is NSAIDS (I agree).

Then add a TETRACYCLINE (completely disagree) for chlamydia ..

If i remember right, Dr Conrad stated never to choose Tetracycline, always choose doxycycline??

I guess ill stick to that but can anyone confirm this???

& what about Campylobacter jeuj, do we still treat it with ciprofl or new flouroq??

reactive arthritis is most commonly associated with campylobacter jejuni ,,, so i guess uw is correct in that sense

  1. doxycyline is a member of tetracycine group.
