Sheer Boredom.............. Looking at book which tells u the most intricate and explicit details abt something u dont even want to know and yet u r trying to love way the information has been presented to u. after 1hr of study i need a 2 hr break and lately its becoming more and more annoying and frustrating and Yet I have to Know my Mol Bio cos sure as heck some weird old dude is sitting away in Office thinking tht many ppl havent learnt wht he has learnt so far so he wants to SHARE THE MISERY with everyone.

Its Like Some Grossly Horrible and Extremely Ugly Witch has Kidnapped u and now asks u to Marry her. winkgringrin

Insomnia, definately insomnia, especially time pass mid night , by time wide awake, panic to study as much b4 day fall asleep . Now better, but cannot sleep early still .

Afraid to go out cause fear of loosing study time, that makes family thought you're depress which is not. To add it you stop ....
watching all TV , listening to music even your favorite , eating out at your favorite restaurent with family usual day or night out to save time to rest, study .
Also you stop chatting as chatty box as you used to be , so hubby as IMg will definately concern , pull me out every time to enjoy life outside since summer, that actually really make me down since loose days of study , but hope my quiet, etc stay home study will make them get use to me but not hurting them or make them like megrin

So many to say , but will stop , like the thread b4 .. how to sy No .. it's all PHL fault, ron started it grin , just kidding . thanks for open up so many doors for our common meeting place to say something about , but not exactly the Qs, exm topics.

Oh , yes definately boring, I love to study unseen, so now I am still at start of my re read , staring at my big books shelf, pild, notes, file & kap Ln with all my tiny writing full of writing in kap Ln , hmm how can I read them all, why I write that much .

GL nod

ps , I c/p this at my site too to remind self to sleep early, enjoy life, study though boring etc.

sad i don't sit for so long that i get any of these pains sad

these days, the max i am studying is for about 2 hr continuously, i already have slip disc and sciatica so i will anyway not sit for longer hours.

  #15

Insomnia, sad
headache,
Anxiety
shoulder pain from sitting and reading
butt pain from sitting on my butt
puffy watery/red eyes from hours and hours of computer questions
Caffiene intoxication symptoms
Caffeine withdrawl symptoms on the days I don't have it
Loss of social life (well this isn't a physical ailment, but it sucks)!
And if all of the above isn't enough, a dent in my finger where i hold my pen

Definitely the caffeine intoxication ...

Migraine and headache, seems like standard now.

Advice - for the insomnia, get a child, guarantee by the 9.00 pm you will be dead tired !

Mine: USMLE-related Dementia shocked

It is a recently discovered disease, I discovered it myself, I am affected by it, also I am the first person that I announce this disease and I want to name it: Hedieh Syndrome nod

Criteria for diagnosis of Hedieh Syndrome ( USMLE- related dementia):

1- to forget every single word that the patient studies for USMLE 5 minutes after reading it

2- difficulty in focus on study when looking at book (eg; the patient is thinking about the movie that he/she watched last night instead of studying)

3- hypersomnia to avoid confrontation with books

4- the patients makes herself/himself busy with daily stuff to avoid books

5- spending lots of time on prep4usmle forum to avoid studying.

For diagnosis, criteria 1 and 5 should always be present, plus one other criteria.

Plz anybody don't tell me that he/she had discovered the disease before, or he/she will be prosecuted according to the law of copyright!

acintya, so much in common with you. i don't even need an active ulcer to know the pain. i just need to close my eyes and imagine, and it's back!mad no need to even concentrate hard. and, oh yeah the guilt. if the ulcer incapacitates you, the guilt goes for the jugularconfused. the guilt killssad. my poor ma has been wanting to take me shopping to get some new winter clothing, and she's having a hard time making me leave the house. i told her i'm only going if we're going to a medical bookstore, coz i want to buy papi's rr.nod and after that come back straight home, coz i have no time for anything else. the things she endures....... shaking headsad
