From Kaplan: Ob/Gyn says to do FNA Surgery says NOT FNA, do an aspiration of fluid.

If ur not going to use FNA to aspirate the fluid, What will u use?? from what i know its U/S guided FNA

accordint to Surgery: "Aspiration of the cyst is the answwer here (this is NOT FNA, this is aspiration of fluid to empty a cyst, not aspiration of a solid mass to get cells)." "Aspiration is done (not FNA, but aspiration with a bigger needle and syringe)."

in first aids say no suspicious mass,( <35yo,no family history, movable fluctuant, size change w/cycle doFNA

drvirgo, ur right, also found this out from another member there is difference btw FNA n Lg Needle Aspiration

doyouding i read the same in surgical kaplan note but in f aids say you know soo which you pick up

for fna the needle is specify for that but for aspirate you can used any needle
