Extraintestinal Manifestations
Crohn's disease and UC both affect organs other than the intestines. Most extraintestinal manifestations are more common in UC and Crohn's colitis than in Crohn's disease limited to the small bowel.

ya thats why i was confused. Kaplan pedia says crohns disease has more extraintestinal manifestations while i always thot it was UC. I think UC is the right answer. Khorshid and kashdoc ..pls can you give some references for your answer. Thanks!

crohn's disease is associated with ..skin= erythema nodosum
joints - migratory polyarthritis
liver = cholangitis
and uveitis

however UC is largely ass with only pyoderma gangrenosum and primary sclerosing cholangitis

UC has more ass with colon ca than Crohn's
but not extraint manifestation

reference is FA step 1 , kaplan lectures , and harrison

Harrison:"patients with perianal CD are at higher risk for developing extraintestinal manifestationsthan other IBD patients."
and also from kaplan.
