hi all, yesterday i faced the most harrowing moments of my whole life...!my visa interview.
it started very badly, but in the end, i became lucky.
got my visa. don't yet know how or why...!
but my biggest problem in the interview was the VO's accent when
speaking certan terms. she was almost ready to throw me out, when she
had to repeat the word backlogs, five times. and i STILL
couldn't get the word...!! finally she asked FAILURES...? that's when
i realized she was asking if i failed in any exams...! i almost said
yes to her backlogs query thinking she was asking me about
banklogs...!!!
like most IMGs, i'm fluent in english, and grammatically as correct as the British could be....! 
my major issue now is on the accent issue. and the Americanese....! is there any way i can get help in this issue, do IMGs have real problems during the step 2
CS because of this....?
i'm really worried, after all the work we have done for these exams, i
don't want to fail CS because of this seemingly minor issue.... 
ANY HELP ? SUGGESTIONS TO OVERCOME THIS PROBLEM WOULD BE OF IMMENSE HELP.....!

hey jay doc,
donot worry about it.May be it was her who had a bad accent.And you know behind that big glass window it is really difficult to understand any way.
well I donot think you will have any problem in cs.You will be the one who will be asking all question.They give a very brief to the point history and mostly answer to yes and no ,when you ask questions from patients during CS.
And by the way everyday they listen to hundreds of different accents , so no problem on your part or patient part.
Please donot worry unnecessray about things , just concentrate on preparing,practising and studying for exam.This is what u need.
JUST PRACTISE ,PRACTISE PRACTISE ....each case in usmle world 2-3 times and you will pass ...
