although personally I don't suggesting "changing" books because it just makes u end up wasting alot of time but the books you've suggested are good books...subjectwise let me explain...

patho...do goljan OR brs patho, though both are good don't do both, stick to one...as for kaplan patho...i don't know one person who likes it...so out of the 3 just do 1 & keep reading & studying it over n' over

as for micro ridic simple...REALLY good book, i loved it & even studied frm med school frm it & got a good score but I found it a bit lacking so I ended up using 2007 kaplan micro...the reason I used micro ridic simple in the first place was I had old notes kaplan 2001 & they sucked...really disorganized micro notes...& when I got the new edition...it was a complete change...I'm completely satisfied w/ kaplan micro 2007 now...so if u do use micro ridic simple u may have to supplement it w/ something...not sure what....? of course mirco ridi simple has not immunology in it so you'd have to get a diff book for that

as for physio brs, it's aslo a good book but like I said do one or the other...physio kaplan is really good also, it doesn't need supplementing...

now though I suggest not "changing" books because it wastes ALOT of time (believe me coz I've tried & tested) I think while you're on u're first read it's okay to supplement...as in refer to other books (but still the while sticking to your primary book) to get a better understanding of something that's unclear to you or something that u may think that's not well written in your "primary" book...like for example, I used kaplan anatomy as my "primary" book but whenver I need to look up something I'd go to snell's or an atlas...& what I did was I jotted notes that I thought were important in snell's into my kaplan book so that on my second & third read I wouldn't have to "look things up" again frm snells....& of course review much faster...i hope u understand what i'm saying..

i hope my suggestions help u out...in the end u & only u know u're own weaknessess & have to figure out how to work through it...we're all in the same boat

i wouldn't advice u to do this as all
i think physio BRS is an excellent review book
micro made redicoulsly easy is very nice 2 and sufficient .. u can use these in ur 1st read instead of kaplan
and 4 pathology goljan is sufficient
stick to books of 1st read, that a key 4 better memory
if in anycase something u didn't get from them , u will get it later when u do the q bank
don't confuse ur self
good luck

oops...u like kaplan patho? rolling eyes

well, i guess just stick to that then wink but don't keep changin ure sources

i got my 2007 LN frm kaplan itself....i have no clue about the 2004 notes...maybe it's pretty up-to-date.... but all i know is that 2001 kaplan LN which I had previously were very insufficient...very disorganzied...

Yoga there's absolutely no harm in combining books as u read they only help u understand better. Make common notes. And later stick to those and FA / QS.

BRS is good for both but if u can go over the lecture notes by goljan in ur second round. And listen to his audios too. it doesn't matter if ur KAP edition is not so new coz u can make sure the other books are!

Make google a tool to use everytime the boks get too much and u can't grasp something. Coz What's imp. is understanding!!!!!!!!! GOOD LUCK!wink
