backwash of dye from ileum points to UC, but patchy ulcerations points to chrone, but I think the second one is a more reliable point so chrone

(D) patches of ulcerations lean towards CD than UC

i think it is ulcerative colitis cos the primary invovement is of the colon with bacwash ileitis and also UC is more common in kids than CD,the patchy ulceration however favors crohns, but i still feel it has to be UC for the above 2 reasons,

After reading again.... Answer is A! Chronic drinking juice and a lot, daily will cause GI symptom like pain, diarrhea, malabsoption, flactulence. This girl has been drinking up to 1 Lt of juice daily. So, that was the cause of her symptom!!! UC or CD can not be Dx just with symptom. We need biopsy to confirm which kind of IBD it is.

I agree with A also. Have you ever given a little too much juice to a kid in a day. Just wait for the diarrhea the next day

i think its chron's( terminal ileitis). 1 tr of juice can cause diarrhea but not to the extent of causing ulcerations n bleeding from the colon, i guess

This 's likely CD due to location and patchy lesions. Need biopsy to diff CD from UC. Anyway, all IBD treatment, colon needs rest therefore we should put pts off any oral food or drink. So go for A ! correct me if i am wrong .
