If someone makes a certain material a sole source for his or her exam preparation, based on too many newbies swearing by that material on a forum , he has only himself to blame. If anybody notice any members behaviour too suspicious of spam or marketing, it should be reported using the report tool. Too many reprts against a person should result in some kind of warning or even a ban for that member. It is important who you take advice from, and how much you rely on that advice. Holy ... do read your post, that's why I quote when reply, DO NOT TWISTED your post , you saying that intension to ask others to report , not me saying that .

the_holy_man wrote: I think Shwe is skeptical about reporting potential marketeers or spammers in the forum and he has made some good points. Free information or useful tips are good and always encouraged on the forum and thats what many people come here for. However if a certain member is only posting about, say, discounts from certain company and how much it helped him or her and does not other wise contribute anything else to the forum, it does create suspicion. It may well be that there is no hidden marketing and all the opinions expressed by the members are their own honest experiences. But we never know, so if a member is highly suspicious it should be dealt with accordingly. Most people are wise enough to know who to report and the administrators are wise enough to interpret those reports apropriately. You can tell the spammers from genuine persons easily unless the marketeers ae really intelligent !! What???? Already say re, 1st , Rests I agree , but last , I am not clear .

used UW and kaplan qbook for step 1 and in my opinion UW was much better. I agree that a lot of their questions focus on low yield facts but I think their explanations are much more complete. Maybe the reason everybody keeps sayin that UW is good is because it is good. And whats this bias against newbies? Did all you guys start off with a thousand posts to ur names? And Jazmil is a newbie.....( and Brutus is an honorable man!!!! )

I used both for my step 1. I love both of them because they are my main resources. I guess a lot of people give Kaplan a low grade because they already learned all the concepts from Kaplan notes or DVDs, so they think K Qbank is not worth it. But for people like me, who don't have those materials, Kaplan Qbank is an excellent resource too. I also love UWorld.
