Many doctors don't have a blue pen in their possession because medical records have to be signed in black ink. To them, it's not a big deal. Still, don't worry about it.

Well ECFMG told me they will accept LORs with signed in black ink but they they will count it as a copy not original one..I have a LOR from my country signed with black ink and I think they will take it as a copy..

To BBB,
Will they accept LOR and Deans letter if not stampedby institution, but are on the Institutes letterhead

  #8

I wrote to Eras, got the folowing responce

If the letter is signed in black ink then it will be stamped as a “Copy” before it is scanned to your file because it does not adhere to the original document policy. To learn more about this policy please go to http://ecfmg22.securesites.net/eras/new.html#repe...

Sincerely,

ERAS-Support Services/Ms. Patricia

So if they wont take it as original then i think i should resend my LOR with a sig with blue ink............

Seals are very rarely used. Letterhead is more common. Don't worry about it.
