Hello, I have a very important question. I am taking Step 2, but I have not taken for Step 1. Many people are saying that there are saying that there are plenty of pathopathophysiology questions. Do you think that the pathophysiology questions are difficult to answer? Thank you very much, Congratulations for completing your exam and Best Luck with your score. Elpida

I just took the Ck yesterday. There was a fair deal of pathophys maybe 25-30%. It all depends on your background in medical school. If you excelled in patho, shouldn't be a problem for you. If its a weak area, you will struggle on these questions. But pathophys is covered in all of your kaplan ck books, am i right? usually right after etiology of disease. pay close attention to that. You will find most of the questions will deal with CVS or Renal processes. You should be good otherwise. good luck.

weird. that's it in one word. they ask so many questions and in so many different forms, but ultimately the one answer is, no thanks, i will stand back, and watch it fold out. or, hey, no funny things here, just go in and do it. did anyone else get the same feeling...? while i second all that the author of this post has said, i also feel that there is so much ambiguity in step 2 that the score you make seems more related to the way you think than the way you prepare. example - Back pain. if you read Harrison's principles of medicine, they give four to five pages of treatment related to it. and all it talks about is trial this, and trial that, and ultimately say nothing has been proved yet on almost anything except NSAIDS. but in the step 2 you get so many questions related to this topic that ultimately you begin to doubt your own reading on the topic and start to think - maybe i.m wrong, maybe this is the right thing to do, and not wrong as i believed. and THAT IS EXACTLY what they want to happen. throw that seed of self-doubt in you and make you choose the wrong choice though an hour ago you would have been rock-steady about such concepts.
