Guys how competitive is getting a spot in prelim internal medicine? is it worth a try or should I go instead for prelim surgery? I want to apply to anesthesia, but I have to do a prelim year first in any of those two..

in case like u ,,u want 2 get 2 anesthesia but u need preliminart internal medicine
do u have 2 apply 4 preliminary med match then after that yr do another match 4 anesthesia???
is it this way??

as far as i am aware u have ti apply for advance program and the prleim same year.

u can do it either way, apply simultaneously for PGY1 and PGY2 or apply for prelim yr this time and anesthesia next yr
