Dear forum seniors, I am applying to anesthesia for this years match. I am applying to most programs with categorical positions and in some rare stances I am also applying to advanced positions. The problem is that most of my LORS and PS are oriented to anesthesia and not to any sort of preliminary position..
Should I use the same LORS and PS for the application of the prelim year?? Well, from my perspective I dont feel like writting in my ps how much I am fond of IM when my final destination is anesthesiology...

Anesthesiology is very competitive now, I am applying to it too. Last year I did not see any IMG matched in this field.
Some programs require IMGs take TSE (Test of Spoken English) with minimum score 50(maximum score is 60), this test is very terrible and this 50 goal is hard to reach. Known that University professor assistant jobs need only 40.

Dear Robin I know 4 IMGs who matched in anesthesiology last year... so its achievable, we just have to hang in there my friend.. university of Florida in particular ask for the TSE, which is ok by me..
We need top credentials in order to maximize our chances..

I'm also applying to anesthesia and i have same doubt about prelim PS.
should we use the same PS when we apply for Prelim.
can anyone please clarify this issue.
