Yes Its Suprising that Half of the Statistical Numbers Presented by NBME itself for ppl who scored abv 98% r posted here. Tht is something really amazing and i do believe that we have no choice to believe it but i know one thing in the bottom of my heart whether these posters or 99ers r fake or not I m, like the most of Us here, better than any stats posted here. These Numbers will get me something called An interview but Infact its Gonna be ME and ME Alone who is gonna get Me a RESIDENCY. So with that thought i give my best to whtever i study and HAVE FAITH IN ALLAH and Believe that He is gonna reward me of my Hardwork in the Best Way and Even better than I can Imagine.

From a PC point of view (program coordinator, not politically correct), I have seen more applicants with 99s in the last couple of years than I have ever seen before - even my PD commented on that.

So are schools teaching better or are they teaching how to test better? I don't know.

We have lots of 99ers that we don't call for interviews.

A lot? Im no PC bc how much in term of percentage is a lot? As far as I know MLE score is one of few qualifications on ones resume, along with clinical, research exp and clinical grades. Unless there are red flags, like failed 2 classes or criminal records I don’t see a reason why you would pick a 90er from a 99er.

Could u explanation to me how it works?

they have a cutoff of lets say 87 and less than 5 years of graduation with only that now that only have 40% or less of papers now they go to the second part of saying EVEN if you have that you are not coming here, that its not disclose and now they have 30% and from there they start reading which one will get the interview.

So you can go into the30% but it does not mean you wll get the interview.

No offense. But I think most of the 99er posts are true. I heard from an AMG that their mean grade in his class for step 1 was 92. So if they have 150 in the class, I guess there will be at least 3 to 4 99s. wink

99ers tend to post their experience because they have something to share, like how to get there.grin So others can benefit from that.

Good point, njcjzy.
