Hey guys, I'm new to the forum. I'd like to ask those that have prepared for this test before if FA is enough on it's own. Can you ace the exam with FA only or do you need a supplement book ? A lot of people are using FA in addition to UW, I have no clue what UW is like or if it has any extra information so I'd appreciate it if you guys could give me some advice.

Thanks in advance !

FA is sufficient. I have been preparing for the CS and have read mostly from FA. Practice is more important. I have subscribed to UW and have gone through it. Does not seem to give any more information than FA.

I disagree, I didn't take the test yet but there are cases in UW that there are not in FA. FA has 31 cases 2007 edition, if you do both you can reach around 60 cases. Now it is up to you. It also has some useful physical examination videos. Someone posted once that eventhough doing both, they just cover 9 out of 12 cases.
You may want to know this informatiom from people that already gave the test.
Good luck.

What i meant was the format of giving the test... FA is enough for that. If you mean doing cases like the questions in the q bank..thats a different story. Like you may not get the same questions ditto for the exam so is true for the cases. Like there are 1950 qs in the step 2 UW. How many are repeated in the exam?

The concept of communication, data gathering and reproduction is well covered in FA, but not so well in UW. Videos are for pure novices. Not useful for somebody who has already done clinicals as most IMGs.

So if you have time do both otherwise do FA.
