Hello Friends, Is is possible (or recommended) to have same writer write you several LOR's, customized to that specialty, if applying for several specialties in the same time? If possible, how do you do this. I'm afraid that ERAS will scan the wrong one as they will have few with same names. Help! Also, is it OK to apply for more than one specialty at one institution? Thanks,

Yes, it is, and I had a chance to confirm this with ECFMG ppl. As for the same institution, I do not know... You first make sure the writer specifies the specialty in his letter; usually this is done in the Re: line... Then, while you prepare the LOR request form, you indicate that this particular letter is for that particular program right in the LOR RF, and highlight it... So, when ECFMG ppl receive it, they see your assignments... They also said it would be good to call them and verify this. When you work with your assignments in MyERAS site, you make sure you list the same writer twice but indicate him for two different programs separately... That's it...
