hi everybody,
sorry for the delay.was bit lazy after the exam.
did it on 21st july.
it was fairly o.k.most of the q's from IM,next was peds,psych and obgyn then
suregery then stats and few q's from ethics in the descending order.
not many lenghty q's. some of them had only 3 choices.
most of them are straight forward. got 3 q's from NNT(number needed to treat) one q abt neuro transmitter in OCD.
i had no problem abt the time management.was left out 3-5 minutes for each block.did straight 2 blocks took 5 min brk then 2 blocks strt then 1 more block had lunch then took brk for every block,still had 17 minutes for the last brk.
few images from dermat 1-2 mri one on bone scan and asks abt the common organsim which causes osteo myelitis.
i cannot say which areas are heavely tested, almost all the topics were covered.

abt my prep.
prep time 2 months part time 3 weeks full time.
sources kaplan notes,FA UW and q bank.
i started my prep directly with q bank,did it subject wise then later on did UW.got 65% first time random mixed mode.for last 3 weeks i did only q's which i got wrong which prooved really helpful.
i didnt like UW while doing them bcoz they are unnecessorily difficult but i was surprised to see quiet a few q's from UW.
the difficlty level is somewhere btween q bank and UW.
i did not do NBME. just did 2 blocks from the usmle cd. got 42 and 43.
i will add to this if i remember anything extra.
will be glad to answer any questions abt the exam.

Congratulations for your great score (saw that in other link)! smiling face

I am still have over 3 months at hand, but alreay in a freaked-out state. Dream that I can get a decent score like you. I know I will still stick to just FA, UW and KaplanQbank, without Kaplan notes no matter what. Do you have any suggestions of what other area I should pay extra attention to besides using my resources? Thanks for your reply. smiling face

well, just try revising kaplan notes as many times as possible. 2-3 times shld be ok. try doin UW atleast twice,that helped me a lot.

i have 2 questions

1- when did u graduate?

2- im doing UW these days, & i feel its hard, is the real exam that hard?do u recommend kplan Q bank,, more than UW?

i grad. in 2000.
i dont think the exam is as hard as u.w.
u.w is too picky and q bank is easy, difficulty of the exam is between them

i did abt 92 mcqs per day.didnt study much in last few days.just concentrated on mcqs which i got wrong on UW and just revised FA
