i scored a 182/74, i'm also thinking about submitting a score recheck. it says on the form that a "A change in score based on a recheck is an extremely remote possiblity." and it costs $50. in my opinion an "extremely remote possiblity" is better than no possibility. also, i enrolled in the PASS program. they claim that "The average increase in points for students taking the USMLE after a previous failed attempt has been 40 points." it's very expensive but i'm willing to pay anything to pass this damn test. you can see my thread here. good luck in whatever you decide to do.

i think you should go for a score recheck if they offer one.as to what you should do differently this time,i think constant revision and question-solving is the key.and dont forget to memorize kaplan by heart.it will really help you.
