Hi guys! Finally it's over! I took my exam last monday. In few words what i can tell you is: the test was doable and halfway between nbme and uw but unfortunately I had throughout the test the feeling I was not performing that good. The main reason is that time really runs out fast so basically you have to give your final answer in few seconds and don't have a lot of time to start thinking about it "maybe it is this A? maybe is B? Let me read the stem again...." forget this, you really need do come with one final answer fast. I could review my marked qs in 6 blocks but in 2 I could barely finish the block. But this is not because qs were hard. Actually I realize thay weren't but I was kinda paralized... Think taht it took me more than 30 seconds to diagnose a policytemia to a guy with Hct 66%! I don't know why but mostly in the first 2 blocks I had hard times in focusing. I have no clue about how it went. Could be I failed, could be I got a great score. I really don't know because differently from step 1 I could have time to look back to the qs and say well maybe this is right this is wrong and so... I just picked a q and moved to the next and even when I could review the marked I did it really fast so I don't really know about my performance. I belive that I answered something like 75% of qs, so I am not expecting great a score considering that because the test wasn't extra-tough the minimum I should be required to do to pass should be around 70%, but again it's just a feeling. I will give you more infoes about me and my prep when my results are back, and wish you all good luck for this odissey...

Hey virgola, so you are done with the beast! ;-). So which resources do you recommend? Does UW cover the entire thing? Did you do QBank? Do you think it is necessary?

One question: Some of us for the step 1 used the strategy of reading the last line of the question (in the very long clinical ones) and the answers before reading the whole thing, to safe time and focus in what they were asking....Did you try this in your exam or do you thing it would been helpful?

Thanks guys. Coolmav, I did uw and think it is very good but I'd prefer to see my results before giving any advice about how to prepare. I found 1 q that was exactly the same in UW and other qs I could answer just because I read my notes of missed UW qs the day before. Veroni, I know many people do this trick of reading the last line first, but I didn't do it because while doing UW I realised that most of time I read the last line first I got lost in the q stem so it didn't work on me. You should try if it works on you.
