What is removed in each procedure?
What is left intact?

Are ovaries and tubes removed?

they differ in the amt of parametrium removed, they are modalities of treatment for various stages od cervical ca which itself is staged according to the amt of parametrium involved. salpingooopherectomy is not a routine part of either procedure. it amybe done as a complimentaryprocedure in older woman scheduled for surgery , but no not routinely done,.

A modified radical takes out the corpus and part of the broad ligament b/c risk of mets. to lymph nodes. ---> done if grade Ia2 Invasive cervical cancer (>3mm, but <5mm invasion)

Radical takes out side of pelvic wall, proximal 1/3 of vagina.
---> done in case of Ib or IIa Invasive cervical cancer.
Ib is > 5mm invasion
IIa is invasion to the upper 2/3 of vagina.

You are right, they usually leave the tubes and ovaries unless there is an indication for removal.
Thanks.
