i m confused wat to take first either CS or CK-----i dont hav any date for CS this yr but i can see ppl just cancel the day be4 test--so in that case if i pick up my CS stuff today(i was doing CK from 6 mnths)it wud take me atleast one whole mnth to prepare and then wait for any opening or cancellation by end of august and take it---or shud i take CK fitst like i have scheduled on sept 4th-i wanna know wat wud be a good option to get into 2008 match-also when do we hav to start applying for match and when to get eras token?i know alot of Qs but hopefully someone will help.Thanx

I was wondering in the same way. Timing is very important for MATCH 2008, take CS early. Just sit in front of your computer half a day and refresh it frequently, YOU WILL GET IT! People is freak out about the new minimum passing score, there are MANY, MANY new spots everyday. I just have changed it yesterday morning for an earlier day. As soon as you start your prep for CS you will find out that it gets easier each time. Now if you are ready for CK take it now but if you think that you need one more month for CK, go for CS first
Don't forget this:
Score report for CS 2 or 3 months. (prep time around 1 month)
Score report for CK 3 to 4 weeks

but my Q is wont the residency ppl look at scores for sending calls-i do plan to take CK in one mnth like 4th sept was my scheduled dat-not rt now-ihav to go though eveything once more---------so if i happen to get date by late august for CS and the take CK in late sept or early oct-the results will be bak by end of october probably for both exams-wud that be good time to get calls or the residency programs wud hav sent calls be4 that?plz i m confused

Well you will find more info in the MATCH forum. Very interesting!!!!
Tokens are available since july first. According to my "finding out" you can apply by September 1st with 1 score at least to ONE program, so ERAS will have all your paperwork ready for your next programs. You have to send your paperwork NOW.
Check the reporting score dates for CS. If you take Ck by early september and CS by late september, your CS results will be by december? january? The interviews start by november 1st and even before. There are thousands of applicants with ECFMG certificate already. Study your chances, USCE, research, LORs, visa status...many things.

u hav nice dates combo-that wud be cool for u in applying for match-best of luck-i havnt been able to find any cs sooner date (other than those which open for next day)-still fingers crossed--best of luck to all of for 2008 MATCH-good luck with tests---------
