I heard different stories and I'm not sure about how to filter the programs. Some people say that even if you don't have all the requirements that a program is looking for, they still take a look at your application and they may give you an interview.
I'm applying this year, after I was not able to get a position last year. I want to apply to as many program that I can, but also I can't spend $100,000! So I need to filter the programs based on their requirements.
Here is my question?
If I call a program or visit their website and they mention that their requirements are Minimum USMLE score of 210 and graduation less than 5 years, but my scores are 206 and 190 and I'm graduated 6 years ago, should I apply to that program or not?
Any advise will be really appreciated.

there is stiff competition now a days, there would be plenty of candidates who fulfill the prog criteria, so don't waste any money by applying if u dun fulfill all the requirements

Well I agree with rocking doc here. Besides I guess all of here are talking from instinct, no one's actually gone throu it all tocome go throu it again and well the rest of it is hearsay. So just be logical and use u r instinct

i have been told by many programs that the pds dont even look at the application if u dont have their basic requirements.so first select and apply to the programs where u fulfill the criteria and after that if u have extra money apply wherever u want.
