Keep it COLD (copyright by Edie ) for 2 days, cause I didnot have time for even sitting in front of my comp for a while, and this job of posting and reading always takes time. The last but not least is I don't have anything done to type here
My Prep
Aug 3rd, 4th and 5th,
Finished only Immunology. Cover to cover.
Did all Qs in Kap Qbanks (58% and 76%) and UW Qs. Feel better although the score has not changed, even in 2nd time in UW.
I hesitate to do NBME, cause I have Anatomy, Histo, Embryo, Physio and Behavioral Science not done. All have gone away my brain since my first read. I tried to reschedule but there is no date in the Prometric Center nearby, so have to do it on time. Hiccup!
Just received 2 LORs, have to prepare 1 tonight and send to my old Prof... I was glad when receiving his favor. Half-of-the-globe distance indeed!
Today, have just started Micro. Check Kap that they have 5 blocks!!! Have to finish them after revising.
Will see!

What have to do have to do face it if no way to change date then , as well prep as possible , so study as much as possible , if can get pass mark atleast with high score but not as you want the highest 99, who knows , you might, just believe in yourself , all knowledge since day 1 med yr & your study .
When will be your test day ?
Do not have to peport, visit here or any, make sure visit all your Qs, books, study that you need to do .

Aug 6th
I did fight the Micro yesterday. Tried to scan all of micro stuffs within 1 day, and finally got tired and bored of doing the waiting blocks in Kap Qbank. 5 blocks remaining! Today I know the reason: I really need to know where I am, worrying and being hesistancy between taking the test and the out-of-choice of the exam postponement. And I have only 1 week to seal my fate! The solution is to take NBME without delay. .
Yeah, I have just done NBME form 1. The Qs stems are not so difficult as in UW, but more vague, and somewhat shorter in timing. I can have over 10 minutes to revise my Ans, and in each block, I have roughly 10 Qs I need to make a guess. I remind myself that it is OK, cause I haven't finished my 2nd read in Physio, Behavioral Science, and 1st read Pathology as well as 1st round of FA and Papi which I hesitate to do until now.
The result is reasonable. The best thing is I know my weak points. Will cover them and do form 2 next Tuesday.

Thought ... Score is really great, keep it up Yuna .
Why disappointed, may be I am wrong at interpreting, 238 is 99 already , though we all want higher 3 digit as high as possible .

Shwe, You are always present when I am in need. Just like the role of John Travolta in " Michael". Thanks for your input, Shwe. I sometimes want to be a moody teen again and have another teen with mood to make a peer group .  
I think we should aim high at first, then in the real exam, tense, time, tired will drag us backward...

Yuna, you've found the right person ,
I am only sweet sixteeeeeeennTidus or vice versa of Yuna , Tidus ... oh they both look teeeennns , so let get moody as teens , but do not get stress out , tired on D day , pl score higher than your NBME .

My day starts late today, due to some reasons. One of them is the exhausted feeling that sticks to me recently. Now, the thought of escaping this exam becomes greater and greater. I can't afford more than this. Take the Exam, and let it be!
I have to start countdown from today in order not to waste my time further and to tell myself that, I am going to end this, soon.
OK, 12 days left.
Done Histology and Embryo, and I am on the half way to Neuroanatomy. I think I'll need FA this time to catch out the HYs.
Will finish Neuro tonight, and start some blocks of Anatomy. Check NBME form 1 for the Qs stem...
Feel the site Netanatomy.com very good for CT and MRI images (cross sections). I learn much from them. Please take a look at it if you want to review gross anatomy. (I found the info in this forum, many thanks)

Hi Yuna, thanks for stopping in at my journal. You are doing really great over here! Definitely get in a daily dose of FA. From two that I know that took the exam very recently, both said to know everything in FA absolutely C-O-L-D. Good luck to you!

After all reads then even in between read after know abit , FA is like GOD , itput all in tiny little everycorner, good to go with the read along or read after all time .
FA looks small , but it know how to squeeze in all .
Lets count together with you for you , no no , me, not yet .

Finished Histo+Embryo + Gross Anatomy reading. Still skipping neuroscience which I am bored to read it 2nd time, A Must!
Did 3 blocks of those subjects in Kap Qbanks, the results were variable (68, 76 and 54% !!!). Just start reading FA, and finished Embryo!!!
Will revise Neuroscience and Behavioral Science. Next steps will be Physiology and Pharmaco upto Monday. Don't know if it will work.
Read the IM program infos in Match forum, feel scared but have no other choice to work harder: Only 1st attempt and fresh graduated (I am not!!!)

Will stick to my plan to have NBME 2 next tuesday.
Still have 1500 Qs of Kaplan and the same amount of UW's. Thinking of doing batch 7hrs in some days.

Weekend blues, have no time for studying. Just recognized my little one has endured formula allergy after a long time of ignorance of facial rash, stuffy running nose and spitting out. I am not Pediatrician and have been out of practice for a long time. I finally change formula type today (kind of hydrolyzed cow protein milk, just know, my bad) and follow up what will happen then...
On half way of BS, struggling with defense mechanisms and DSM IV. Need to work more on Ethics, also which is one of my borderlines in NBME! Happened to know that moderate arousal is optimal for learning. . I am so worried cause I am not tense enough.
Tried Neurology FA, but can't finish yesterday.
Will have to finish BS and BS + Neuro FA today if I have time. Only 2 words "IF"

Checked prometric center again, there is no empty seat for reschedule!
Finished BS Kaplan note cover to cover, with a quick scan. Reading USMLE Medical Ethics, the 100 cases you are most likely to see on the Exam, written by Dr. Conrad Fisher now. Wonderful concepts!
Will move to Physiology today, with some evaluation block of BS in UW. Have not touched to BRS BS of Fadem, I think I have time, but I don't.
Need to do my best!

Yesterday, didn't know why I was so sleepy. Tired of BS and Ethics? Dunno! Or this is a sign of pre-Test stress syndrome. Yeah I had it before when I was preparing my CS.
Finished Ethics and did BS from UW, 1st access. Not bad score. I thought I can solve any ethical concepts after reading Fisher's book, but I am wrong! If we were not in the system, we cant solve them well, Physican-pts, lawsuit, DNRs, Autonomy!
I am with my Physiology KLN now, with 2nd read, and I am in the middle of nowhere, kind of getting lost into this book. I feel lack of time when looking at the thickness of this book 550pgs! I know that they can ask Physio without clinical vignette, as in experimental study. So, not only understanding the concepts well but also memorizing some facts would help. My 2 cents.
Thinking of doing NBME today, as planned, without Physiology. Again, it's an adventure! NBME 3? Whatever!

Did NBME 3 yesterday, tired and felt bad about the prep. But actually have no choice. I need to score high, cause I am old IMG (>10yrs), and w/o USCE.
Behavioral science is still a challenge, with many statistics and some bias and errors. It is still in borderline. Have to improve. This time, NBME 3 mostly asks about true basic science, and CVS physiology lead me go in the borderline zone again. Thanks God, Biochem and Anatomy are not in the same boat!
Manything I have to do from now to D day. Hope I can go through them
Wish me luck!
Thinking of NBME 2 few days later. maybe Friday. Still feel exhausted!

Thanks for your comments, medocuk. Actually I have no other choice but going ahead. I think postponement would be also good for me in term of getting higher score...So, you decided to have a better result, and you will get it soon. I believe in that.
My prep
4 days left,
Finished CVS Physiology, with many charts and graphs. Actually I left Endo Physiology off, and will reread it when I read FA. I am terrified by the thickness of this section.
Doing review of NBME 3 and 1, and filling my gaps. Starting to read FA, 1st section BS and Psychiatry. Will spend remaining time for Pharm, little by little.
I still don't have time to listen to Papi. How can I become Papi mania? Most of ppls said Papi is a Must, and I am out of track now... Worried, worried...
Sometimes, I read some Pathology concepts in Robbins. They are well explained but taking sooo much time.
Decided on doing NBME 2 tomorrow and NBME 4 on Sunday

I know enough and more ppl who didn't do pappi and still did well. At the end the key is to know your stuff and to knwo it well. be able to integrate your information and be able to apply it. I am sure you can do this. Good luck.

In revising state, with a mess of things haven't been done.
