Hi prep journal! I decide to start my prep since today, with 25 days left from my scared Exam date. I hope with my daily plan and actually done work, my journal will help me go through these last days and defeat my procrastination!

Oops, after I made my plan, I start thinking of postpone my test!!! Scared

I even ask my hair dresser to have yuna's hair cut that I showed her the web color print out of Yuna when that final fantasy games are hot .

Hi ShweHope, thanks for coming by. Actually I am in love with Yuna face and I wish be Tidus. Yup, her stylish hair make her face so impressive.
Mytime, I had tried to stick to my plan several months ago, but I didnot!. I am such a procrastinator guy!
My journal, I start feeling scared about you. I should have done many things before I started with Yuna here. Hope we will go through, OK?

Finished 4 chapters of RR Pathology. I hated to read the written style of this book when I first saw the 1st version. But now I feel better on reading it. And one more reason that I have no other choice. The day before I took Robbins...Oops, the thickness of this book drained all of my inspiration, although I love its style and illustration. OK I will back to Robbins when possible, NOT NOW. 
Start Qbook Questions. 150 Qs with 74, 90, and 68% on Patho+Pathophysiology. Don't like the stem Qs, the way of asking in compare with UW's but there are lots of info that I have not handled yet. They give me a chance to look back and forth, deeper in some fields and to know more my weakness. 
Hopefully a good day for today. too.

Q book is good learning, to know you know kap subj or not too.. I guess .
Not really read them yet , but is subj wise, so good after the subj . Not to miss ,
though Q are may be too easy, compare to K-Q BNK or UW .
Q book should be 80 or ? 85 & above, so you look really good, WOW 90 one of them especially in pathophysio .

ShweHope, thanks for encouraging me. I am not that good, I also think Qbook Qs is a evaluation tool, but its score is definitely not! Just got the score and give myself some feelings that I can do that, do this.... I am not familiar with FA style, but from all of the exam takers and preparers, it is a Must. I don't know which is the best way to study FA in a short time. Thinking of giving a try to FA sometimes since today.
GoodGirl, actually you are, GOOD and BEAUTIFUL girl, no doubt, as all of the "Miss" here, who are balancing all of the things, family, job, house, love and Exam!

3 Chapters in RR Patho, felt tired of its details! Looked at some pictures in Webpath
4 Blocks of Path+Pathophysio in Kaplan Q banks (78-88%). Some Qs are straightforward, and some are weird in asking rare things. Felt dislike the explanations there, which can't help in learning things as UW's do. Will read 2 explanations of 2 blocks today.

But I am RR fan, though not read all yet. Try it with Golj audio, it's more fun .

ShweHope, thanks for your advice, I will listen to Goljan Pappi soon. Actually I started listening in some lectures, but sometimes I was asleep while hearing Pappi voice. Now after a while reading RR Patho, the feeling is better! Do you recommend any special Subjects from Pappi?

Did excuse myself for some naps yesterday, so the performance was going down.
Did 2 blocks of Patho+Pathophysio 78 and 78%. Read 3 chapters of RR. I like the Kidney chapter and Environmental...great for revision
Today, my son is home, don't know how much time I can have. Tell to myself, balancing, balancing...
Try to change my plan a little bit, will cover Biochem and Immuno instead of Patho.

Yuna, Papi Endo is excellent, hemato too .
Day 1 cell inju, inflamma etc also good, GI abit boring for me .
What can I say all great , but these are just my favorite .
Like I like the whole Final Fantacy but Yuna is my favorite , though I like Tidus too .

I reopened my Biochem books (KL) although I still wait for "the Lippincott's 4 ed comes to my town (house)" ( I love this book but keep trying to have the lastest one and it is delayed). All the things seem new  . I started from Hormone and keep on reading the following chapters. No time in weekend with noname works and break. I wonder how can I do Biochem in 2 days ??? Still on the Glucose Metabolism with rate limiting step Enzymes.
No Qs has been done yesterday. Today must be UW and Kap Qs day after I finish those metabolism chapters.
At least. I feel less scared on Biochem now. Keep on...prep

Bioch understand well, but need alot of review ., repitation.
Though kap LN bioch great, some like to add with lippin which is a nice book with different approach & easy to read . Both have different contents in some point .

No No , Yu , i will not start FA till all done well like after few read . It's in system wise, not subj in 2007.
I like to study in subj wise, not sure will do system at the end or not.
So FA will be with me when I know all well.
Use old FA long ago after quick rush of all subj, but that old FA is in subj, so it's Ok after know all subj abit .
Just curious, since you said will try FA same time , since I also cannot do FA with others at 1st read at same time .
Pl do not feel bad if FA or not, but make sure read it when ready to read it, you will know when , like I just know at old FA when to read after try early & it did not work, but ok at later read .
Even old subj Fa at 1st read b4 any others read , it's not appeal to me.

Just coming back from Day Care.
My Prep

Yesterday my son was sick and all the plans were changed. All I could do was in the first half of the day.
Read Biochem until Lipid Metabolism. Could not finish it. No Qs done so far. My bad, my bad!
ShweHope, I agree that FA is worthy after we already know all of things. It is like a memoire. But, if on the last days, open it. and say" What? all is new here" if I don't have a look at it, dont know how it goes through, I will ask this Qs. That's why I said, take a look at FA sometimes, when possible.
Still hesitate to listen to Papi as I should. Maybe I will think back a few days later

Behind schedule! Tried to study after going to Paediatrician. The little one was having Fever.
I checked the Prometric Center with the intention of postpone the exam for a couple days, but there is no available seat until 27th when I have another thing to do.
Thing always happens with a reason, and I believe that this will push me harder, like having some gears. I was not in my best preparation.
Yup, yesterday finally finished with Biochem + Mol Biology. Now I am doing UW Qs and will be on Kap Qs. Feel better when answering the dreadful Biochem Qs in UW. Everytime I get a Qs now, I can have a snapshot of the picture of the Ans. That's better, thanks God

Study 1 or 10 times Q or LN, important is to get snap shot when see Q , that's the point. Score matter, no deduction , you study short or long, once or million times.
Oh infant, cute quiet age, best time to study , keep it up, b4 toddler, have to run after him with your heavy study books in hand. , teens then double headache, cause you become moody teens too .

I tried to stick to my plan, but somethings happened, and all messed up. I did try to catch up the train which has only 18 days left after departure! Yesterday this prep was not updated cause I did nothing the day before

This is August, THE MONTH!
I finished reading Biochem + Molecular Biology, took 2 blocks of these subj in Kaplan. I was surprised by some kind of difficulty in compared with UW, especially in Mol Biology. I can see my gaps through it! 70 and 68%. I did 3 blocks of UW Qs on the same subject, 2nd round. Score was not high but acceptable, cause I feel better when choosing the Ans.
Yesterday night, thinking of doing some review Qs in Pharm was noteworthy after Biochem, I did 1 block of Pharm in Kap. It was kinda tricky, scored on;y 62%. Feel dissapointed.
Also finished Medical Genetics and knew the Hardy Weinberg's crazy calculation. Well, finally knew it.
Surely do NBME this weekend, no other choices!

Yuna, doing Q is good to know self, then will learn, study more fr Q & LN if needed.
Do not beat self up . So far no sign of Tidus to come & rescue like at the mountain top wedding ceremony , though we all will try to help.
So if Q low marks , read, study then if get it , Ok, not .. ask Q here, but best is at subj or support site to get answer from others.
Do NOT FORGET FA, FA ,FA, review UW , if do med essential , also review & your forgettable & all HY .
Then NBME good, go for it.
MOST Importantly, doNOT Loose confidence & hope & COOL , calmness I mean .

Weekend is coming and notime will be in my hand again. I recently feel sleepy all the time, and yesterday I had to change from night-time study with crib to day-time study with night crib . Feel better this morning, kind of refreshing my mind
Despite all of these, the scores are going down . Tried 1 UW block of genetics, 1 Kaplan's Patho (72%), 1 Kaplan's Genetics (64%). The highscores from the beginning are disappearing... Anyway, no remorse!
Today is the day for Immuno and Micro, my bad . I am bored of reading cover to cover of KN, cause last time I read only Levingston, and felt it is not enough for memorizing the concepts. Oops, such terrible things as ILs, CDs, monoclonal Abs and all kinds of drug resistance mechanisms of bacteriae!!!
Take a break now, read explanation and go ahead to beat them hard. Always remember FA but have no time to touch, bad, bad!
We can do it soon!
