actually sunscreen alone is not effective but it is used as an adjunct to avoiding sun exposure in the middly of the day, if pt needs to be outside Sunscreen also have not proven to be beneficial in the prevention of melanoma but shown to be good for prevention of other type of skin cancer such as SCC standing under shades - give 70% protection (30% exposure b/c of reflection of radiation)

Yes Khorshid u r right, sun protective clothing gives more protection than sunscreen .
