Symptoms point to prostatitis? E?

Keeping in mind his age, duration of symptoms and recurrent episodes, diffuse enlargement of prostatitis, rest of neuro exam being nl and U/A results I think it is prostatitis. what else could it be?

this is prostatitis ,
repeatu/a after prostatic massage. age goes against the diagnosis of ca, the u/a disagrees with the diagnosis of cystitis and pyelonephritis. no costovertberal tenderness either,no features of epididdymitis. tooyoung for BPH .

i agree with E but the q is, What about the elevated PSA or its normal to be elevard in INFEC????

add to this the reccurence of sympts & the abscence of bact in urine..

UW says that if there is prostatic infl + -ve bact, 1st thing is to exclude Bladder cancer esp if there r RBCs in urine wich is abscent here???

plz anyone respond

yes u can see I PSA in prostatitis too but not a great increase.

Recurrent episodes for 3 yrs --> Prostatitis for sure!
