is it
1 inc r/r b/c of progestrone stilulating that resp center
or
2 inc in tidal vol
there seems to be a conflict in kaplan n UW
Kaplan says there is no increase in the resp rate and that TV is the culprit, whereas UW says it is the effects of progesterone that directly stimulates the respiratory center n causes Hyperventilation
can somone add or clarify what is correct???

I highly doubt about increase of tidal volume in pregnant women... It goes the opposite...
