In UW, Parents refusing treatment for child with ALL----Answer is Go to court for permission for treatment

In another question, parents refusing immunisation for child--->Accept the mother's wishes.

Not giving vaccines---Doesn't it a critical situation for the child to prevent morbidity and mortality in the future?--->Shouldn't we have to go to court for this case?

UW talks about herd immunity---Can anybody explain?
Thanx!

Yea......... I know it's crazy but MOMMY's win mostly.

Except in critical situation when they are too scared to make the rt. decision rolling eyes So court says let me help u. CRISIS_ MOMMY NOT THINKING _ GO TO COURT.

Immunization no big deal......he/she will not get chicken pox coz others are immunized. Wishfull thinking huh? raised eyebrow Happens in Oral polio at least where kids are given vaccine and then they poop the bacteria out and that's how others get immunized indirectly thru soil.rolling eyessadsticking out tongue HERD IMMUNITY.....not the cattle but other kids equivalent of cattle grin form a herd.

Rule is "Parents cannot withold life or limb-saving treatment"

Not vaccinating is NOT an immediate threat to the child's life.

Withholding meds for ALL can be life threatening.
