Hello Friends, Iam new to this website & just found out what I had been missing. I just scored 94 on my step 1 & have started preparations for step 2. My expreience with Step 1, 1.Kaplannotes(3 revisions),Q book, Q bank, BSS by Barbara fadem for behavioural science,High yield nueroanatomy for CT & MRI pics,www.webpath.com for Path slides were sufficient for me to answer most of the questions. 2.Knowing one book thoroughly (revising again & again ) is worth, than reading too many books. 3.USMLE exam tests Us on BASIC stuff given in almost any book one way or the other. Its just Our understanding & reproduction of the facts as answers that gives the score. 4. During exam Save UR breaks for the end of the day,as U will be tired then & its difficult to concentrate. Hope My experience helps. I have just started My preparations for Step 2& planning to give it in 3 months. Any advice reg Books, study techniques will be appreciated. Thanks in Advance friends.

Dear Dr. Anandh, Especially one, who has already went through it probably knows best... Well I also believe that remaining calm and not to panic can really help a lot sor success. Hopefully we can all support and complement each other. Welcome on board!

Hi meghana, Yeah I know the feeling. Guess with 4 months of Hard work U can get a great score. It does depend on persons ability & amount of Work U do rather than months. ALL THE BEST for U

already started prepn for it last 1+month date oct went through kaplan notes they seems okay for me what i want to know is if anat;h/y +kap notes, physio;brs+kap notes, path;goljan notes+kap notes,pharama;lipp'cott+/-kap notes, biochem;lipp'cott+kap notes, beh sc;kap notes+brs, micro+immuno;made ridiculously simple[gladwin]+kap notes,biostats;h/y+kap notes, genetics;nms+kap notes[biochem+path],mol+cell biology;h/y are they more than enough for texts? but very extensive is not it? kindly tell me a good strategy to cover my whole course or i might have to extend my date beyond slot which seems imminent as i am almost 4 yrs past graduation and without an md/ms. i really need a score above 85 percentile at any cost being an img.mail me please how exactly you prerared or studied and for how many months and which subject initially and did you do qns at the same time or later.kindly give stress on one text book per subject so that i can revise them at least 2-3 times before xam.also tell me about mcq sources like nms,q book etc.waiting for your valuable reply thank you. take care of course many2 congrats 4 your 94 in step1 best of luck 4 future.
