Well, it's good that you have your LOR's...And since you have them, you have to send them... You send thm to ECFMG/ERAS with a document submission form plus for every LOR you need a cover sheet. How do you get all this stuff: 1.ECFMG web site-click on the ERAS link- you will find all the requirements, plus the document submission form(which you also need for your MSPE, medical schooltranscript etc.) 2. MyERAS- I assume you already have an AAMC ID and also an account @ MyERAS.Log in, go to documents, LOR- designate LOR writers.Afterwards you can print off the cover sheets for each writer(the system automatically customizes them). The other way to do it is to click on the "Help" section, then residency applicants, then download resources and at the bottom is the form for IMG LOR cover sheet. Read the requirements once aagain. The address is at the bottom of the cover sheet. Since you've seen your letters already, you have to indicate that on the cover sheet - mark "I do not waive my right to see the letter". Sign, put the date and send it over. You can verufy the receipt of the documents through OASIS- log on with your USMLE ID, click on ERAS support on the left side, document receipt verification. I just states that the documents are received, it does not mean that they are scanned. But you should be fine if you send them by AUG 1. You can start looking for programs even now. You cannot finalize your application before Sep 1 anyway. I hope this is detailed enough. GL!

and here is the LOR cover sheet. I still would encourage you to spend some time on the internet and read everything about the process- submission of documents, deadlines, MyERAS account etc... It will help you feel better and more secure.

Hi gv5! Unfortunately I don't know the answer...ECFMG says it may take UP to 4 weeks, not exactly 4 weeks to scan the documents, meaning that they might be done sooner. The opening date is SEP 3. So if the letters reach them by AUG 7, you have almost 4 full weeks. The ECFMG urged all applicants to submit documents in July and a lot of them have done that so they wouldn't be sooo busy in AUG. I think you should be fine, but again this is my subjective opinion.

If you didn't waive your right to see the LOR, you need not submit the cover sheet..only the document submission form would be enough...
