Hey how much money do a typical IMG spend during matching?

And lest say that he has low grades but is US citizen?

HI Gogeta: 75 for the token, 50 for transcripts. Then the rest depends on how many programs you will apply to, here is a useful link: http://www.aamc.org/students/eras/feesbilling/start.htm

Other expenses may include: plane tickets (to attend interviews), hotel stays, transportation, attire, etc etc

Hey thanks gmob, interestingly in another forum someone suggested 5K is what you spend in the matching process.

So only by applying to programs you might spend 900 and that is IM, FP, Pschy, and maybe a couple of others that you will most likely have a chance in getting in,

And I heard that people tend to get from 2- 7 interviews.

Now Im talking about people with low scores and old IMG graduate ok.

I will start a piggi bank for the matchgrin

But thats applying, I was thinking of 30 programs meaning 90 applications will be like 900 dollars.

And that is only for places that Im will be 100% sure they will accept me.
I dont want to apply and they will not even look at my application

i guess $5000 - 8000 is about the range that is spent if you travel to USA for interview. This includes your reidency applications, travel and lodge for interviews. This is almost what I spent; but keep in mind, I stayed in safe hotels in non-shady areas with wireless internet service and did not have relatives in USA. Also I travelled to US and flew back in 1 month. Fast food is cheap and thats what I ate, did not have the luxury of litchen and home cooked meals.

But can't complain as even now I am mostly eating fast food as do not have time to cook nor the mood to eat alone.
