First of all I thank the moderators for making this thread a sticky. I am sure many people will benifit from this .
Secondly, Feyza, I want to talk to you a little  . Why do you think I requested your thread to be a stickey ?? and why did so many people agreed with me on this ???? We all knew that you are aiming for a 80+ and not a 99 .
We all have read many 99ers ( high 99ers ) experiences and advices. Why did we not want all those experiences be the stickys ???
My dear Feyza , we are here to get support from regular human beings not only from extra ordinary ones. Most of us here are those who are fighting against the odds and your experience has lifted up our spirits . With all these 99ers around , now we know that people do score in 70s and you have very nicely guided us what should be done to score higher.
Thank you very much for writing all this and I do hope that you will keep guiding us further.

Dove and olive branch
In Judaism and Christianity, a white dove is generally a sign for peace. The Hebrew Bible describes a story in which a dove was released by Noah after the Great Flood in order to find land. The dove came back carrying an olive branch in its beak, telling Noah that the Great Flood had receded and there was land once again for Man. (Genesis 8:11). Hi Feyza,
First of all, CONGRATS ON YOUR SCORE!! Do you know how you have beaten the odds, been a mother, still rallied on and got a real world score???? I mean do you even realize how much you have inspired us here??? The very reason it is a sticky is to let us real folks (and future ones) that this exam is doable, we should NOT stress out and go FACE IT like you did!!

thanks GG. i never saw it that way, as a dove and olive branch. it must say something about my vision these days. i do know what it signifies but i never identified it! a subjective psych test may reveal something significant about me now! don't wanna know what though!!

p4a99, that is one of my all-time favorite pomes. my best friend gave me a copy of that pome the night before i was to leave for med school. i've read it many many times since then. and the uncanny part is that i was talking to her just tonight! thanks for posting it[even though i know it was meant for feyza, as it should be, this is her thread] but it's put a smile on my face just reading it now.

Feyza, thank you so much for this journal! Kity is so kind to send me this thread when she knew that i was suffering from a depression by the pressure on this exam. She even send me a mail to ask if I am fine now.
Feyza, I was so depressed at that time that I even couldn't gather enough energy to read your journal since all the responses from everyone makes it so long.... but today I finally finished it. I can't help bursting into tears, my dear! Just like I couldn't hold back my tears at the end of the movie "pursuit of happiness"! I don't know how to express my thankfulness to you, my dear.
I also have good news for you---I do know some one with a 79 in step1, and 80+ in step2, matched to Family Medicine, a good university program. He got in 4 years ago. You will make it, girl!
You know your greatest success here is not your score, but your self-respect, confidence, for your step2, your residency, your whole future career, your life.

GL in step 2 prep , yes, Int med or Fm Med 70 something 1st attempt , do get into the decent program..see in friend's hubby .
So, just apply alot wisely as prg rules , also if like me loves all med fields then apply alot rather than restricted to Fm Med or Int med only .
