how can u differentiate them as CXR findings are same?

I guess it will probably be differentiated by the criteria:-
ARDS-----> bilateral infiltrate, instead pulmonary contusion may cause a localised infiltrate, also PCWP must be < 18

Yoyu have to differentiate in terms of history
ARDS---sepsis, drowning, pancreatitis etc
Pulmonary contusion---H/O trauma
