Is it better to email the programs one by one, in order to use the proper salutation: For example Dear Ms. so and so (using the name that appears where it says "person whom to contact for more information about the program")...

Or is it ok to just write an email that you can send to dozens of programs at once, of course using BCC when emailing them. Sending "personalized" email is really time consuming, so I would love to know if it's ok to go the "generic email" way.

One last thing, should emails be copied to PD if their email address is different from the person whom to ask to get more information about the program?

i just send with the title of dear sir/madam.
not possible to write for each program separately.

sending personal email to each program wud be ideal but veryyyyyyyyyy time consuming....

or u can jus put in hello / greetings nd send in a drafted mail..dats wat i did.....

for those from whom i get no reply...i intend to send personalised email if i dont get the info from their UPDATED website

I guess it is possible if you compose a letter and cut & paste names of the PC/PD into the salutation line, and send one by one... It will take longer, but it will be a more "personal" and therefore direct approach.

Just to remind that sending bulk-address message may be considered by computer as a spam and the letter will be blocked...

Sending a personalized email to each PC/PD is a waste of your time. Trust me - I read the email, send a generic reply and delete.

Send the email to YOURSELF, then BCC all the programs - so that all the programs don't know what other programs you are interested in.

Thank you for your responses! I think I will write a nice generic email, and send it out in groups of 5 (BCC) this way the system wont reject them. I sent about 20 "personalized" emails last night, just changing the salutation and it took me a good amount of time, because I was looking for information, writting down a list, etc etc. This will definitely save me some time! Thank you! smiling face
