Kaplan Qbank USMLE

i gave my step 1 last year on June 23 and started studying for step 2 inmediately but for personal reasons had to stop. then, i started again in mid February and took the exam on June 21 for a total prep time of about 4 months. My resources were Kaplan books + UW + Kaplan q bank as recommended by forum member askdoc:

1.-Read a subject from Kaplan lectures and do a block on that subject from q book. if i got less than 75, i didn't look at the answers and go back to the books until i was getting more than 75. when i did all the subjects las mentioned above, i took NBME 2 and got a 390.

2.-Enrolled in UW (random, timed bloks of 46 questions and end up with an average of 59 %. i used this as a learning tool because, as suggested by askdoc, kaplan q bank was the one i was going to use for evaluating my performance. when i finished UW i did the USMLE CD from ECFMG and got 37/38/39.

3.-Enrolled in Kaplan q bank and did 50 % of it with an average of 70 %. i was planning to do the whole q bank but i couldn't and had to face the exam.

The exam was mostly internal medicine, i would say that 70 % of it, and the rest evenly distributed among the others. my score was updated on July 18 and got my results three days later: 220/89.

The best advised i could give you is to study every day as the exam is next week and to stick to Kaplan + UW. i also used another books which were step up to medicine and pre-test physical diagnosis.

Thanks to everybody in the forum because those prep diaries and exam experiences keep us motivated. special thanks to askdoc, my guru.
