This forum is intended to clarify the lab abnormalities assosiated with several coagulopathies.
For ex,
1.) DIC------> high PT, high PTT, low fibrinogen, low platelet
2.) Hemophilia-----> high PTT but normal PT and vWF
3.) Vit K Deficiency-------> high PT and high PTT

Any extra inputs r welcomed!!!!!

DIC -also know: Increased D-dimers or Fibrin split products
Vit K deficiency: also know: dec/low Factors II, VII, IX, and X

ITP and TTP: Decreased Platet count, increased Bleeding time.
Hemophilia A: Normal PT, Inc. PTT, Dec Factor VIII
Hemophilia B: Normal PT, inc. PTT, Dec Factor IX
vWD: normal Platelet count, inc bleeding time, normal PT, but INC. PTT, and MILD Factor VIII deficiency
