I haven’t finished watching any particular set of lectures, but i have jumped around lot of them. So here is what i know: Pharm lectures changed from the old 2002 videos that I have seen. New ones are taught by Dr. Raymon, the old videos were by Dr. Trevor. If i decide to watch anything for Pharm i might watch the new ones. Actually, i did watch the first two hours and Dr. Raymon was awesome! That man is almost a one man show, meaning he can practically teach all the subjects (minus Beh Sci, and Anat) Micro is also by a new lecturer named Dr. Moscatello, i don’t remember who did the old lectures. I don’t think i will do these. The main difference between the old and new lectures is the quality of the PowerPoint slide images. They are so much better in the new lectures. But at the same time, the old lectures will still work just the same b/c they usually mention the figure number and as long as you have the books they are using in the videos u can follow along without having to squint your eyes. in conclusion, if i watch any videos, it will be dr.raymon’s old Biochem lectures and then possibly finish his new Pharm lectures. Someone also suggested that i watch the newer Physio lectures by Dr. Kudrath. I personally thought Dr. Dunn’s lectures from the old videos were good. But, i haven’t had a chance to watch Dr. Kudrath from the new set. As far as the new lecture notes... the one feature i like the most is the fact they now have an INDEX at the end of each book. And of course there are tidbits of new information here and there that is different. In all fairness, i think the old books are probably enough. I have had so many classmates who have already taken the exam in the last 10 months and scored well using material dating back to 2001/2002. I was freaking out, so i went ahead and purchased the new set... but, i don’t think it is really needed to get that 240+ score we all aspire to get. Good luck!

Well my opinion is different I ve new set n i can feel change in new set of kaplan ........ im talking about notes not lectures there r many new graphs in it with extra material too ..... but one thing is for sure that to use old set doesnt mean that u wont get score now so it depends on ur accessibility n affordability cause if u afford it then i think we should follow the new thing ........ Plus can anyone help me that how can i get those new Lectures and from where ?

thanks for the insight of the new and old editions. but you are right, new notes doesn't necessarily translates to a PASS. My take is that the material can't really change in a few years. I can see a difference in lectures, since they might emphasize different things. but do you think that can be compensated with doing more recent question banks like UW or even QBank? but if someone knows a link for the dvds, then please pass it along. GL.

Samreena, Micro and Immuno are actually my better subjects. Well, at least i have done well in them during Basic sciences. In the past, I have read bits and pieces of Medical Microbiology & Immunology: Examination & Board Review (part of Lange Series of books). Here is a link to where you can download that book (http://bumbaonline.diinoweb.com/files/). The authors are Levinson & Jawetz. I am trying not use any resources outside of my Kaplan notes from now on. I did hear that the older micro videos were not that great. So, the only thing i can suggest is to stop watching the videos if they are not helping and try to read straight through the notes and use the Lange book as reference. Vaibhavbora-- as far as links to the new 2006/2007 lecture notes are concerned, I don't think those PDF files are out in the public domain yet. Well, i certainly don't have them. I actually paid the full amount to get them directly from Kaplan. But someone else out here might have. Good luck.

I think that Kaplan did a great job for publishing revised version of 2007 Videos. This is on DVD - which means you are not losing quality when copying it. So, overall if you do not have 2007 lectures - you must consider obtaining it.
