hello
at last im able to write here. took my test yday. it was a mixture of medicine,surgery,gyne obs,paeds psych and some epidimiology. basically the content was very balanced. alot of medicine plus a lot of trauma and post surgical complications of almost every operation. alot of qs on hypercalcemia,almost all causes of lymphadenopathy.........and blood discorders. almost 10 qs on petechia n echymosis,some syndromes from paeds,neurology,ataxia,and alot of DIZZINESS.at last i was dizzy because of those qs.
surprisingly psych was not much. some scattered qs here n there n those were easy. ethics qs were vague although i read a good book on ethics (Doing right)but that wasnt enough to answer those qs.
but i shoud be honest . the content was balanced. there were some easy qs too. may be say 30 percent about which u will be sure wt the answer was. the worst qs were me were may eb something like a pathophysiology or mechanism of diseases . may be those were from step 1 content and as i dint do that they seemed hard. about 8 to 10 qs of pharma those were easy. immunology was also complicated.
they asked routine stuff but in so many ways and in such a twisted way that u cant be sure wt u did. in many qs there were two similar right choices n i wasnt sure wt should i pick.
i think may be the best strategy for taking test is to do comparative study of similar disease. like how to diferentiate one from the other. specially in bleeding disorders.
in the end i would thank all of u guys who helped me do it finally. u all are great. especially DR.clotaire who helped me BIG time. dr klimt, jessussaves,arlete,dr08,and doc.nikki n sera.
and special thanks to malithahe whose journel kept me motivated and assured me that even with a baby i can do it.im very happy. now going to step one...
good luck to everybody who is taking the test. dont worry theres nothing that u dont know and they r gonna ask . its just their way of testing knowledge. and although there r some loong qs but if u keep control on ur nerves u will find out that the longer the qs the easier it is .n try to read answer choices first n the last line that wt are they asking. in that way u will skip unnecesary details n will save time.

good luck to you too young_doc. the worst thing is waiting. every day i remember those qs that i did wrong........... its really bad. n the worst of all my cs result is also expected in those days.......... so the tension is double.pray for me.

MEE TOO!! All i think about is those awful, weird, long questions, that i had absolutely NOOO idea about. And everyday i can recall 1 or 2 of them...they're adding up. I know i shouldn't but it's hard not to. I just hope most of those hard ones were experimental questions 
I'm also expecting my CS results around the same time (took it June 27)! So we are on the same boat Doc08! You'll be in my prayers, and we'll get through this together

oh good luck. we r not only in teh same boat also the SIZE of boat seems similar. my CS was on june 25. so i hope we both will eb able to share good news inspite of the fact that now i have to do step one. i will pray fr as for as for myself.

my cumulative score on uw was 74 in the end n i did it once only(due to shortage of time)i repeated only wrong qs in the end. i cant say anything until i get my score but i can tell u for sure that it was better than uw. although there were many qs that seemed harder than uw. basically it was something in between kaplan q bank n uw.

its such a hard time to wait. im like........................i want my score now. whether good or bad. just end it n its like counting hrs and minutes. every morning my husband asks............................have u already seen ur result .. is thats y u look so terrible.. .no studying at all. just doing qs. qsn fa fa fr step 1.
