Really?

I was thinking D or F!!

GAD or Social Phobia...

Can you please explain your reasoning; maybe I'm lost on this one.

Thanks.

Could this be social phobia. I think panic attacks occur out of blues with no reason but here she specifically has anxiety about social situations

  #6

She is uneasy around people and avoids gatherings because she is afraid of "being embarassed" NOT because she is aftaid of going out of the house! So I don't think agoraphobia is an issue here.
And she seems to be ok with a few drinks though. smiling face

Probably leaning towards social phobia now...

pt doesnt like attending social functions , is scared of the thought of being embarassed in a social situation, i s now apprehensive abt ther high schol reunio=this is social phobia
panic attacks come on sudenly and peak in 10 minutes ass with all the physical symptoms of chest pain etc.

  #8

Palpitation, sweating--> sign of panic attack

Scared of crowd-->agoraphobia

So E is the best choice

A panic attack comes on SUDDENLY, and WITHOUT a stressor.
Also if it was agorophobia, they would have mentioned that she has trouble with her daily routine as going to work, being outdoors, etc.
So that's what makes me disagree with panic/agorophobia.

Social phobia is fear or humiliation or EMBARASSMENT (as stated in the question) in either general or specific social situations.
-Thats her specific problem. People who have social phobia can have sweating, palpitations as a reaction to the stressor.
