This is an immune disease & only 2 of them have an absent thymic shadow-->

1. Digoerge synd ( T cell Def)

2. SCID

so the ans is Adenosine deaminase def (AR type of SCID)

both of them may present with life threatning pneumocystis carinii pneumonia

why digeorge & not SCID, isn't alk phosphatase here increased ???

So u mean that both SCID & Di goerge don't have thymus but only di goerge has hypocalcemia??

Di Georges has absent thymus AND Parathyroids.
SCID has absent immune system - I believe the DO have Parathyroids though which are responsible for Calcium.
