A 43 y.o. man presents to the ED a few days after returning from a trip to South America. Although CHLOROQUINE is the DOC for malaria infection, is contraindicated in this patient with a previous history of recalcitrant psoriasis.(it may worsen psoriasis symptoms)

In this case the alternative treatment is PROGUANIL/ATOVAQUONE.
