Dear bbb, I had a clerkship rotation here in the US as a medical student. At the end of it the Director of a service agreed to write me a LOR but was only going to send it directly to ecfmg and this was one year ago. I recieved the evaluation copy he sent and it was very good and it gave me good reviews. This year I asked the Directors secretary about the arrangment and she remembered and agreed to get the letter done and asked me to send the covering letters. Now along with that I sent a thank you note to her and the director but the format in which I wrote it was very informal, as in dear so and so, the letter and thankyou. Does that make me look bad and will that effect my letter in any way. I know it's a silly question but please try and answer it

That would actually make me happy if someone thought about sending me a thank you letter. It's a good idea!! Good job!
